  • Foundation :

Desaiganj (Wadsa), a Tahasil place situated on the bank of Wainganga River on the borders of Chandrapur, Bhandara and Gondia Districts, had no facility of higher education in any stream 25 years ago. The rural-tribal people residing in the area of 10 to 12 Kilometers around were leading most backward life, far back from today’s knowledge-oriented modern society, encircled by many social evils, superstitions, outdated customs, etc. They were unable to send their children for higher education in the colleges situated far away from their native places due to poverty and lack of awareness. Deeply touched by the backward condition of these residents our management, i.e., Nutan Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, founded in 1963, realized the urgent need of the facility of higher education in the area. Having the experience in the field of education, being already running one high school and junior college, since 1958 and 1984 respectively, the management decided to start senior college.
